There is a chance the Dwight public dock may get an extension.
Township of Lake of Bays council members looked at offers from out of town contractors willing to expand the dock.
Due to the high prices from the contractors to do the work, Lake of Bays Mayor Bob Young says council rejected both offers and will be looking for local companies who are more familiar with the area.
He says there is a plan to add finger docks so boaters can park and come into town.

He says there is a chance the SS Bigwin may have plans to make Dwight a stop for tourists in the future. Young says the current dock is just not strong enough to hold the ship.
A council meeting to discuss further plans will take place tomorrow at the Chamber of Commerce in Dwight.
