The recent heavy rainfall is the main cause for two cross country ski trails to close down in Algonquin Park.
Park officials say they have temporarily closed the trails on Fen and Leaf Lake. They say last weeks mild weather and rain have deteriorated the snow conditions.
The areas will open back up when additional snow falls in the park. They also announced this closure will delay the opening of the Minnesing trail.
