Metro has confirmed that it will shut down the Bracebridge location to make way for a Food Basics.
Spokesperson for the company Mark Bernhardt confirmed with The Moose that the location will be closed by March 5th of this year.
Bernhardt says employees at the store were given notice of the closure this morning.
He added that the decision was made because of market conditions.
Bernhardt would not comment on the status of the employees moving forward.
