OPP bust man for having bag of unmarked cigarettes

A 36-year-old man is in trouble with the law after police caught him with a bag of unmarked cigarettes. On Saturday morning, police saw a vehicle speeding on Highway 11 northbound in Oro-Medonte. The driver was stopped. The officer then saw a clear bag with hundreds of unmarked cigarettes. The vehicle was searched and the cigarettes were seized. Police also noticed that the driver only has his G1 licence. He’ll appear in court on June 6th for speeding, driving at an unlawful hour, not being accompanied by a qualified driver and possession of unmarked cigarettes unless permitted under the Tobacco Tax Act.
