Gravenhurst looks into a possible medical marijuana facility

A medical marijuana facility may be coming to Gravenhurst. According to Scott Lucas, Director of Development Services, Artisan Discreet Medical Inc is seeking an 8,000-square-foot lot at 1653 Winhara Road. If approved, the facility would be used to grow medical marijuana. Lucas says the town received a letter from the company and that council still needs to respond. He adds Health Canada is issuing a number of licences throughout the country and that Artisan is one of the companies trying to get approval.
