The Huntsville Rotary Club says the $30,000 Aviva Community Fund will go towards phase one of construction work for the Bandshell.
Aviva announced their winners last week and the towns Bandshell project was awarded in the community development category. Rotary member Ross Kirwin says the money will go towards the landscape work.
The permanent stage is expected to open by the May 2016 long weekend in Rivermill Park and Kirwin says this funding helps their process.
Since soil tests were done last month, he says they are now ready to dig.
He says they are hoping to have most of the ground work complete before the snow arrives.
