Bracebridge resident thanks community and Moose FM for helping find two lost Shih-Tzu puppies

A Bracebridge resident is thanking the community and Moose FM for helping bring two lost dogs home. Jamie Duncan’s two Shih-Tzu puppies went missing in the Bracebridge Crabby Joe’s parking lot last Tuesday around 6:30pm. The female, named Peanut, was found the next morning near a Canada Post mailbox Duncan uses on Bonnell Road in Bracebridge. Thanks to the information being put out on Moose FM, dog and owner were quickly reunited. The male dog, called Pumpkin, was discovered near the same mailbox last night around 6:30pm and quickly returned to Duncan after spending five days and nights in the wild. Duncan is sending out a huge thanks to everyone who helped find them and says many people were praying and searching for the pair of dogs, who are brother and sister – each are less than a year old and brindle in colour. It’s believed the dogs traveled to the mailbox area because they remembered the location, possibly due to following scent.
