National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured at the workplace

Communities across Ontario are commemorating workers killed or injured on the job in the National Day of Mourning. Recent Workplace Safety and Insurance Board stats show over 10,300 people have died at the workplace since 1979. last year there were over 230-thousand reported injuries as well.

Day of Mourning events are happening across Ontario. Barrie held a Day of Mourning flag lowering ceremony yesterday at Barrie City Hall.
