A walk to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis

Organizers are gearing up for Muskoka Great Strides, a walk to raise funds for care and life saving research into Cystic Fibrosis. The walk happens May 25th at Kelvin Grove Park in Bracebridge at 11am.

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common fatal genetic disease that affects Canadian children and young adults. Currently there is no cure. The walk’s being billed as a fun, upbeat way to show support. Muskoka Great Strides volunteer Rhonda Read-Glynn says you can bring your family and friends, or sponsor a strider online.

Thousands of Canadians are expected to take part in walks held across the country on the 25th. To register, collect pledges and/or make a donation, please visit www.cysticfibrosis.ca/greatstrides.
