Clement Named Official Opposition’s Foreign Affairs Critic

Parry Sound-Muskoka’s MP is the Official Opposition’s Foreign Affairs Critic.

Yesterday, Interim Conservative Party Leader Rona Ambrose announced the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet with Tony Clement being named as the critic for foreign affairs.

Clement says it’s an important role and one he believes he will excel in.

He says he’s gained a lot of experience and contacts in his previous roles that will help him in this new role.

He says his first order of business in this new role is to debate and vote on Canada’s continued support with coalition forces.

He says our allies are ramping up because they know the threat and we should’t cut and run right now.

Parliament resumes on December 3rd with the election of the Speaker and the following week is expected to be the first question period.
