Flood warning remains in effect for Parry Sound-Muskoka

We may be in the recovery phase when it comes to flooding, but the Ministry of Natural Resources says the flood warning remains in effect. This week’s forecast calls for warm temperatures and up to 30 millimetres rain on Friday through to Saturday. This will help melt the rest of the snow in areas across the district, which will increase the runoff into our surrounding lakes and rivers.

The MNR says we should prepare for high water levels or flooding within LakeMuskoka and the MoonRiver in the next 48 hours.  If you live in the low-lying or flood prone areas, the MNR wants you to continue to monitor your water conditions and protect your property.
