$43,011 announced to help make Bracebridge Town hall more accessible

Bracebridge is getting some help from the Feds to renovate town hall. This morning Parry Sound Muskoka MP Tony Clement announced $43,011 for accessibility renovations. The project will include upgrading of public and staff washroom facilities to meet current accessibility standards and code requirements. The main entrance, doorways, drinking fountain and service-area counters will also be upgraded for improved accessibility. Clement says the goal should be to make government services as readily available to everyone as possible. Mayor Graydon Smith says the alterations will also demonstrate the Town takes accessibility seriously for both staff and visitors. The renovation work is being funded through the Small Project Component of the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund
