Huntsville' solar panels available to view in real time

You can now check out Huntsville`s new solar panels. Construction is now complete on six town-owned buildings, which includes the Civic Centre, Huntsville Public Library, Madill Yard Huntsville and Port Sydney Fire Halls and the Port Sydney Community Hall. If you want to see the energy being generated in real time, you can. The Town says this is a demonstration of Huntsville’s leadership in renewable energy and will help reduce our carbon footprint.

Follow these steps to see the solar panels:

    1. Go to http://home.solarlog-web.ca/134.html
    2. On the left-hand menu, there are 6 sites listed under the heading Zip Code P. Four of these sites are Town of Huntsville Sites: Civic Centre, Huntsville Fire Hall, Huntsville Public Library, Madill Yard. Click on any one of the names. A title page for that site will appear giving the system specs and current power.
    3. In the left-hand menu, Click on any one of the building names. Subsequently, 2 drop-down menu items will appear:
      a) Graphics: shows daily production and you can toggle between time periods (daily, monthly, annually) and show the different inverters on sites with more than one.
      b) Events: this is the activity log from the system.
    4. Use the left-hand menu to toggle between sites.
  1. The two Port Sydney sites are not currently available on the Solar-Log website as internet is not available on-site. For more information go to www.huntsville.ca.
