Fifty years of canine officers celebrated in Muskoka

They’ve become a serious asset to police officers across Canada, and this year is the 50th year these special officers have been with the OPP.
The Canine Unit in Ontario was celebrated in Gravenhurst over the weekend.
Constable Ezra Zugerhoer is the only canine officer in the Muskoka region, and says some canine officers can last almost a decade on the job.
The celebration was held on Saturday at the canine training unit in Gravenhurst, with demonstrations and a special presentation.
