Traffic in Muskoka should be able to resume using Highway 141 sooner than expected.
The Ministry of Transportation is putting in a temporar bridge next to the old bridge to take away the excessive detour.
This does mean the ministry will be taking longer to fix the main bridge, which has some serious erosion issues in the footing.
Gordan Rennie with the ministry says the temporary bridge could be put in place as soon as the end of September.
