Ontario Winter Games pays out to local organizations with Legacy Fund

Muskoka is continuing the see the benefits from hosting the 2014 Ontario Winter Olympics.

On Wednesday afternoon a chair for the Legacy Fund committee announced recipients from the fund.

Annette Allen says the organizations and groups selected went through an application process and met all of the specifications set by the legacy fund committee.

Listed below are the 22 organizations which were selected to receive funds from the over $36,000 raised:

– Muskoka Women’s Hockey League

– Bracebridge Knight Hawks Badminton Club

– Muskoka Rock Minor Hockey Association

– Children’s Foundation of Muskoka

– Muskoka Algonquin Runners

– Vankoughnet Village Square

– Bala Curling Club

– Gravenhurst Curling Club

– Bracebridge Breakers Basketball Club

– Muskoka Limberettes Gymnastic Club

– Muskoka Paddle Club

– Gravenhurst Falcons Badminton Club

– Habitat for Humanity – Bike For Builds

– South Muskoka Sailing Club

– Muskoka Lakes Soccer Club

– Muskoka Hornets Baseball Association

– Town of Gravenhurst Sledge Hockey Program

– Severn River Rowing Club

– Active in Muskoka

– West Muskoka Ringette Association

– Township of Lake of Bays

– Dorset Community Partnership Fund
