Bracebridge hires company to design a new slope at the Heritage Walkway
Progress is being made at Bracebridge’s Heritage Walkway. During last year’s flooding, there was heavy erosion on its north bank along the Muskoka River near the Bird Mill Mews Parking Lot. When this happened, the CNR trestle bridge began to slide down the eight-metre high slope. Director of Public Works Walt Schmid says Council has approved C.C. Tatham & Associates Limited to design a new slope. The next step is having the company make a plan to prevent further erosion.
