Bracebridge students reminisce about Norway trip

A trip of a lifetime really left an impression on 11 students from Bracebridge.
The students were paired off and hosted by families in Gol, Norway where they each had experiences together and some apart.
Quinn Scarlett was able to experience some of the of Norway on the water at the world’s largest fjord.
And student Daniel Nielsen says he will always remember climbing Lillehorn and Storhorn Mountain.

The students also learned quite a bit about Norway during World War II, which is what started the friendship between Bracebridge and Gol.

A special ceremony with pictures and students reminiscing about their experience was held at the Rene M. Caisse Theatre on Wednesday night.

You can see videos of the students playing the Norway National Anthem and singing the Canadian National Anthem, at the beginning of the ceremony, below.
