A Bracebridge woman is dead following an accident in Simpson County, Kentucky.
The Bowling Green Daily News in Kentucky reported on the death Monday morning.
Forty-eight-year-old Heather Laughlin of Bracebridge was on the shoulder of Ky 100 east of Franklin, Kentucky with her husband 48-year-old Michael Laughlin when they were hit by a truck.
The vehicle was allegedly driven by 75-year-old Raymond Kitchens of Franklin.
Both were taken to hospital and Heather was pronounced dead.
Her husband was moved to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Hospital officials have confirmed that he has been discharged from the hospital.
Kentucky State Police are investigating.
