With the ambulance service contract coming up this December, the district of Muskoka is checking its options.
Currently the district has a contract with Medavie to provide Ambulance services to the region.
But Terri Burton with the district says this year the district wanted to make sure it was getting the best bang for its buck.
A request for proposal or RFP allows multiple contractors to offer their best bid.
Burton says this decision was in the best interest of the district to ensure tax payer dollars are spent appropriately.
