The District of Muskoka has officially become the 69th municipality to sign on with the Blue Dot movement.
Watershed Council representative Christy Doyle says the movement was created by the David Suzuki Foundation.
Doyle says Muskoka is a region that has always had a strong respect for the environment and keeping it clean.
The decision to join the movement was approved by Muskoka District Council on July 20.
