Muskoka's health boss commends Bracebridge Council for keeping fluoride
Muskoka’s big health boss says he’s commends Bracebridge Council for keeping fluoride in the Town’s municipal water system. Medical Officer of Health for the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, Charles Gardner says he applauds council for their leadership in improving the oral health of Town residents. He also adds that national systematic literature reviews done by Health Canada have found that community water fluoridation is a cost effective and safe way to prevent dental cavities. Local municipalities were given until January 15th to tell the District of Muskoka their final decision in keeping or losing fluoride.
