Gravenhurst is getting over 12-million dollars in infrastructure funding.
The funds are part of a $285 million Federal Government investment through Parks Canada into projects along the Trent-Severn Waterway. About $5 million will go towards repairing or replacing the Big Chute Marine Railway Car.
The rest of the funds will repair or replace bridges and locks near Severn Falls.
