David Conn has been the Mayor in Seguin for 11 years and in a letter to this station says he felt he has delivered on his commitments to Seguin residents and believes it is time to let new leadership step forward.
Conn says working together with the three councils he has led, Seguin has been positioned as the Natural Place to Be, an environment first municipality, have returned Seguin to a position of financial health, and, Â along with government grants, have invested over $34-million in infrastructure.
He concludes by saying he’s extremely grateful for the kind support he’s received from the residents of Seguin during my time as Mayor and says the continued support from his family, especially his wife Joan, Â Â cannot be sufficiently expressed in words.
