MNRF issues water safety statement

A water safety statement from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is still in effect this week. With last week’s rain and most of the snow melted, some lakes and rivers have high levels and they’re all flowing very quickly. Anyone jumping in the boat already is being asked to take all the safety precautions as the water is also still extremely cold. The statement is expected to stay in effect until May 5.
