‘In Flanders Fields’ set to receive special presentation in Gravenhurst
The Town of Gravenhurst is marking the 100 year anniversary of one of the most revered pieces of wartime writing. It’s happening May 4th and 5th at the Gravenhurst Public Library in partnership with Legion Branch #302 and the Gravenhurst Archives. John McCrae’s famous poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ will get a special presentation called ‘Treating the Wounded, Burying the Dead’.
The informative talk will be led by chair of the archives Judy Humphries who will commemorate the iconic poem, a heroic doctor and a devastating battle during the Great War.
