The Huntsville OPP has arrested a 19-year-old man from Huntsville in connection to the wallet theft at CIBC Bank. On Tuesday, April 21, sometime before 12:30 p.m. the teen stole a wallet from a client who had recently withdrawn cash. The suspect then ran off. Officers found the wallet at a nearby business with no cash inside.
During this investigation the OPP has discovered there were other thefts at other businesses within Huntsville. Officers arrested the teen, who now faces five counts of theft under $5,000. He’s in Huntsville court May 20.
Meantime, the OPP is still trying to find a man seen chasing the suspect south on Centre Street South towards Minerva Street. If that person was you or you know who it was, call the detachment.
