District Council passes its 2015 budget
District Council has passed its 2015 budget. Last night, the budget, along with its 3.66 per cent tax increase was approved. For property owners with $200,000 worth of assessment it will mean another $20.10 you’ll have to pay in taxes. The budget includes a $700,000 investment in roads which critics like Lake of Bays Mayor Bob Young opposed. Others like Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith are ok with the increase as the need for road repairs never ends.
