Rising water levels floods Huntsville’s Town Docks

Water levels are rising in Muskoka. The rain has caused flooding in parts of Huntsville, especially the Town Docks. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has been warning residents, especially those living in the flood-prone areas to prepare for flooding, by securing your valuables.

Meantime, the Town of Bracebridge says potential flooding is possible, especially the North Branch of the Muskoka River. The town has already closed Germaina Road from Waters Road to 1507 Germania because of flooding. Also closed is 1017 to 1073 Cedar Beach Road is also closed.

It was at this time, two years ago, when municipalities in Muskoka, like Huntsville, declared a State of Emergency. Flooding devastated areas and displaced hundreds of residents.
