This August Bracebridge will be sending 10 youth ambassadors to Norway. Bracebridge and Gol, Norway have a special friendship agreement in place which started thanks to the strong connection Gol has with the Muskoka Airport. In World War II, the Royal Norweigan Airforce trained at the Airport, which became known to the pilots as ‘Little Norway’. Fundraising by the ambassadors to help offset the cost of the trip is happening and different events are planned before they go to Norway. So far the community’s been generous. Fowler Construction Company Limited and Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. have each provided $2500.00 in support of the trip, which is estimated to cost $20,000.
