Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement announced FedNor is investing $2-million to Muskoka Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC).
This investment will fund two projects, $1.5-million of which will help the organization offer business counselling, access to capital services and support community strategic planning initiatives for five years.
Clement says this funding will pave the way for economic development that will benefit the people, businesses and communities of the region.
The remaining $500,000 will be put into the CFDC’s investment fund, which will be used to help start or expand small businesses in Muskoka.
