Teen crashes stolen car in Armour Township

An 18-year-old from Burk’s Falls is facing theft charges for stealing a car. At around 4 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, Almaguin Highlands OPP was called to a crash on Highway 11 just north of 518 in Armour. Officers found that the driver stole the car earlier that morning. Police also found a stolen camera which was stolen from another car. Joey Sampson has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, trespassing at night, theft under $5,000 from motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by a crime, failure to comply with probation and breach of a recognizance, contrary to the Criminal Code.
