Women in Parry Sound-Muskoka have a chance to get their voices heard on issues at the national level. On Friday, a meeting’s being being hosted by the Parry Sound-Muskoka Federal Liberal Association to start a local Women’s Commission. A commission is an opportunity to enter policies into the national debate and provide more focus on economic and social issues important to local women. A commission also gives local women a network for sharing ideas with others in our northern region and nationally. Some of the Liberal Party of Canada’s most applauded policies have started through women’s commissions across Canada.
