An inmate at Beaver Creek prison in Gravenhurst has been assaulted. On April 3rd, the inmate was found in the medium security unit at Beaver Creek and was taken to an outside hospital for treatment. The assault is being investigated and no staff members or other inmates were injured. In order to prevent this type of incident from happening again, the Correctional Service of Canada says it will be investigating and taking appropriate measures.
