Local girl recovering in hospital from surgery after car crash

A local girl is recovering from surgery after a car crash in the States that left her with severe spinal injuries. 17-year-old Gabriella Bushey was on her way to an ATV race in Georgia on Friday when the crash happened. The Huntsville teen was with her grandparents. Her grandfather died on scene and grandma was sent to hospital, who is recovering. Bushey went into surgery yesterday and doctors are now watching her progress before sending her to Toronto. Fundraisers are in the works to raise money for the family.
