Ice huts in Zone 15 have to be removed by March 31st

The deadline to remove ice huts in Zone 15 in Muskoka and Parry Sound is coming up. Spokesperson for the MNR, Jolanta Kowalski says despite this winter being long and cold, the traditional dates for when ice huts must be removed have not changed. People have until Monday, March 31st at 11:59pm to remove their huts in Zone 15. Ice huts on lakes in Zone 14 have to be removed by tomorrow, March 15th. Fines for failing to comply range from a minimum of $150 to a maximum of $25,000.
