2nd annual ‘Working Around Water’ symposium a success

The second annual working around water symposium was a success. Held at the Nipissing University campus in Bracebridge recently, it was a chance for local professionals to hear about topics concerning our waterways. Shoreline stewardship was front and centre and there was lots of advice for contractors about how to keep waterways healthy. Municipal planners also answered questions and were part of some great discussions. Muskoka Conservancy, which hosted the event, will also be hosting landowner workshops throughout the year. Topics will include shoreline erosion control and Canada Geese management on shorelines. For more information, visit muskokaconservancy.org.
