Bracebridge has proposed to spend $1.3 million to buy 44.5 acres of land from Fowlers located off Depot Drive  in Bracebridge near HWY 11 so that a new acute care hospital site could be built to centrally serve all of Muskoka.

As to whether Gravenhurst Council would put some of its own money into the Bracebridge proposal, remains to be seen…

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) has yet to issue a statement on the proposal, its expected in the coming days.
