Bowl for Kids Sake efforts raise $12,151 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Muskoka

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka’s annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraising event was a success again this year. The total raised from the two events in Bracebridge and two events in Huntsville was $12,151.  Contributing to the success of this campaign was a raffle for 2 round trip airfare tickets donated by WestJet Cares for Kids.  Raffle winner is Bracebridge resident Marty Scarlett.  Says Executive Director Rebecca Paul, “We are very grateful for the strong community support we received again this year, and of course very grateful for the support from WestJet Cares for Kids.

We would also like to thank Huntsville Bowl and Riverside Inn for donating the space for these events and all local businesses who donated prizes and provided lane sponsorship.”  Raffle ticket sales accounted for $4,000 of the total amount raised this year at Bowl for Kids’ Sake.  All funds raised support the agency’s mentorship program which matches youth between the ages of 6-16 with a positive adult role model.  For more information on BBBS of Muskoka, please visit www.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/muskoka or call 705-644-9914.
