Canada’s men’s Paralympic sledge hockey team is starting off strong as a medal favourite in Sochi. The team, featuring Gravenhurst defenceman Graeme Murray, has beat Sweden 10-1 in the opening preliminary round game. Canada’s next game is tomorrow against Norway. Canada is in
Group A this year, alongside Norway, Sweden and the Czech Republic. Group B is made up of South Korea, Russia, Italy and the U.S. The Top 4 teams in the preliminaries advance to semifinal action on Thursday, with the gold medal game happening Sunday.
