A controversial discharge of firearms bylaw will be discussed and possibly passed at Lake of Bays Council this morning. Since last council meeting, there have been changes made to the draft bylaw.  Changes include removing pellet, bb guns and bows from the definition of a firearm. Mayor Bob Young had said the bylaw would regulate where and when you can fire a gun during non-hunting periods. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. Click Draft Discharge of Firearms By-law 2015-018 (changes) to view the changes.

Meanwhile, council will also discuss and possibly pass the budget.
