MAHC planning for future healthcare

Planning continues at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) for the future of local healthcare. According to MAHC, both hospitals in Muskoka are getting old and are inconsistent with current standards. As well, current space at them is already challenged. MAHC says long-range plans indicate the need for new and different space as medicine and technology evolves. MAHC’s Natalie Bubela says the current planning work is for the future and shouldn’t be viewed as if changes are happening tomorrow. Later this month, MAHC will host a series of Community Information Sessions to update the public on options for delivering hospital services in Muskoka into the future. They’re happening on March 23rd between 7 and 9pm at the Gravenhurst Legion, on March 24th between 7 and 9 at the Bracebridge Sportsplex and March 25th at the Huntsville Active Living Centre
