Five Gravenhurst residents facing drug charges

A number of Gravenhurst residents face drug charges after a bust that went down on Wednesday. At 2pm that day, police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst and arrested two men who were found to be illegally in possession of a quantity of prescription pills along with some cash. The drugs seized have a street value of approximately $7200.00 and the total seizure is valued at $11, 400.00.

A 40 year-old and a 25 year old man, both from Gravenhurst now face trafficking and breach of probation charges. They will appear in Bracebridge Court April 28th.

Later the same day at 5pm, police conducted a traffic stop on Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst and arrested more people who were found to be illegally in possession of more prescription pills. The seized pills have a street value of approximately $720.00. Three more Gravenhurst residents now face possession charges. They will face them in Bracebridge court March 24th.
