Police have charged the driver of a transport truck that caused a lane of Highway 400 to be blocked.

Last Thursday morning just after 5:00am, West Parry Sound OPP were called to the scene just south of Highway 559 where a tractor trailer hit a patch of ice then slid into a snowbank leaving the rig partially blocking one lane.

The crash cause both southbound lanes to be closed on and off throughout the morning to allow for the truck to be pulled out.

No injuries resulted from the wreck but the 40-year-old driver from Scarborough was charged with Interfere with Traffic.
