Plans for new Medical Marijuana facility still in process

The company behind the bid for a new medical marijuana facility in Muskoka is still in the approvals process. Artisan Discrete Medical plans to build a facility on a Winhara Road property between Bracebridge and Gravenhurst, but they’re still in the process of getting a security clearance. After that they’ll also wait for ready-to-build status and it’s at that point they’ll submit a building permit application to the Town of Gravenhurst. A spokesperson with the company hopes the building application can be made during the late spring or summer after getting approvals from Health Canada and the RCMP. It’s predicted the operation, which would provide marijuana to medical patients, would employ up to 15 people once it’s in full swing.
