Tonight is Huntsville’s regular council meeting. On the agenda is a Muskoka Futures funding request for the Ironman Muskoka. If approved, Muskoka Futures would contribute $4,500 the Ironman’s expenses. Ironman Muskoka is happening in August. Council will also hear reports from staff committees.
Meantime, council is also going to hear an update on Solar for the Canada Summit Centre. Sustainability staff is recommending council give the thumbs up for staff to apply for the next round of applications for the smallFit program. The Province developed the Fit Program to encourage greater use of renewable energy sources. The maximum cost of the applications would be $3,000. Council meeting starts at 7 p.m.
