Shield wins first playoffs game beating Meaford 2-1

The South Muskoka Shield put a 2-1 win in the record books over the Knights of Meaford in Meaford last night.
A first period goal by Braden Smith and a second period goal by Matus Spodniak was all it took to seal the deal.
The Shield return to home ice tonight at 8pm and then tomorrow at 7pm to continue the series. If necessary, the fourth game will be scheduled for the best of five contest.
