Highway 400 south of Barrie closed after serious collision

Highway 400 just south of Barrie is closed in both directions after a multi-vehicle crash. It happened between Highway 89 and Innisfil Beach Road. Six vehicles including a lumber truck crashed. Central Region Media Coordinator Sergeant Peter Leon has confirmed a diesel spill in the area as well. He says a woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Both the north and south bound lanes are expected to be closed for the rest of the day.  OPP is suggesting Highway 27 as a detour.
