Bracebridge OPP is warning residents about a scam that is making its way through email. Recently, the OPP have been notified about an email that claims to be from a man who is in Malaysia to help his cousin with a kidney transplant. In the email, the man claims that his credit card doesn’t work and that he needs a $1,700 loan to help take his cousin home for surgery. OPP Constable, Samantha Bigley has more on what you should do if this happens to you…

Bigley says the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre also has information on their website about the most common scams around. For more information on reporting scams, visit my Muskoka now dot com.
