Huntsville residents continue to sign the petition to demand Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) not take away surgical services from the hospital. Former mayor Hugh Mackenzie helped get this petition going. He says have hundreds of signatures.
Mackenzie says there has been a lot of responses so far.
Mackenzie says petitions will still be around until the end of February before presenting it to MAHC in March. Mackenzie and former councillor Tim Withey teamed up in this initiative. Mayor Scott Aitchison brought it before council in January’s regular meeting.
